Captain America: Anthony Mackie defends Chris Evans

Evans clarified the situation on Twitter on Saturday in response to rumors about his potential return to the part.

"Sam Wilson is Captain America." Evans, who played Steve Rogers in the movie, reportedly has no plans to return to the role, and Mackie has been cast in Evans' place.

Since the debut of the first Marvel superhero film, Evans has played Captain America. In 2011,

"Captain America: The First Avenger" became a commercial success.

The source revealed that Nigerian-American director Julius Onah was the movie's new producer.

On the "Awards Chatter" podcast of the Hollywood Reporter in 2020, Evans revealed

that his anxiousness nearly prevented him from accepting the part of Captain America.
